Mid life gap year (well 8 weeks)

Wanting some high seas adventure and nurturing a desire to cross an ocean we had been thinking about buying or chartering a boat to participate in the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) but then when watching the BBC's Frozen Planet series in early 2012 I remembered that Skip Novak operated an expeditionary charter business out of Chile.

One look at the boat looking down from the mast surrounded by ice and we were hooked.
